OK, now we're getting into some VERY early territory! This set was one of the first battery-powered superhets to come out. The battery configuration is absolutely horrendous; here is a scan of the diagram of how the A, B, and TWO C supplies are wired up and hooked into the cabinet. It looks a great deal like the spaghetti explosion in the back of your PC!
By the way, we completely re-created the battery diagram; the original, when we got it, was acid-eaten and brown; we took it to a litho/photo operation, had a plate made of it, and had several perfect copies run off. If you have one of these sets and are missing the diagram, let me know. We have several....somewhere! :p
